The FortiGate 120G Firewall is an enterprise-grade appliance designed to deliver Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) protection, AI/ML-powered threat detection, and SD-WAN integration. It combines high performance, reliability, and security in a compact 1RU rack-mountable form factor.
With 3.1 Gbps NGFW throughput, 5.3 Gbps IPS, 2.8 Gbps threat protection, and up to 39 Gbps firewall throughput, the FortiGate 120G ensures fast inspection of network traffic and protection against advanced threats. It supports 35 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput, >3 Gbps SSL inspection, and 6.7 Gbps application control, enabling secure, high-volume communications across distributed enterprise networks.
Connectivity is versatile with 4× 10GE SFP+ FortiLink slots, 8× GE SFP fiber ports, and 16× GE RJ45 copper ports. Management and high-availability options are supported through 2× GE RJ45 HA/management ports, 1× RJ45 console port, and 1× USB port, offering centralized network control and flexible deployment.
Powered by the customized SP5 ASIC (Security Processing Unit), the FortiGate 120G delivers hardware-accelerated NGFW performance. Dual non-hot swappable AC power supplies provide 1+1 redundancy, while the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) ensures secure storage and management of cryptographic keys. Optional transceivers support 1GE SFP modules (SX, LX, RJ45) and 10GE SFP+ modules (SR, LR, ER, RJ45) for extended connectivity.
