Description
The Huawei eKitEngine AP661 Wireless Access Point is a premium Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) tri-band enterprise access point designed for ultra-high-density environments such as large offices, universities, stadiums, hospitals, and enterprise campuses. It delivers exceptional performance, capacity, and reliability for modern wireless networks.
The AP661 supports tri-band architecture (2.4 GHz + dual 5 GHz radios) with advanced MIMO configurations, delivering a maximum device throughput of up to 6.575 Gbps.
This makes it one of Huawei’s highest-performance eKit access points, capable of handling thousands of concurrent connections without performance degradation.
It is designed for high-density enterprise scenarios, supporting up to 1536 users (recommended ~300 users), making it ideal for large-scale deployments where stability and capacity are critical.
The AP661 features built-in smart antenna technology, which dynamically adjusts signal direction and strength based on user movement and environmental changes. This ensures consistent coverage, improved roaming, and reduced interference across large coverage areas.
For wired connectivity, the AP includes:
- 1 × 2.5GE (Multi-Gigabit) uplink port
- Additional auto-sensing Ethernet interfaces
This ensures that the wired backhaul does not become a bottleneck for the high wireless throughput.
The AP661 also integrates Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support, enabling IoT applications such as asset tracking, smart buildings, and location-based services.
