The FortiGate 91G Firewall is a high-performance branch networking solution designed to transform WAN architecture with secure, self-healing SD-WAN. Built for distributed enterprises and growing branch locations, it combines advanced firewall protection, high-speed connectivity, and centralized management in a compact desktop appliance.
Delivering 2.5 Gbps NGFW throughput, 4.5 Gbps IPS performance, and 2.2 Gbps threat protection, the FortiGate 91G ensures robust defense against modern cyber threats. With up to 28 Gbps firewall throughput and 25 Gbps IPsec VPN performance, it supports encrypted communications at scale. The appliance also provides 2.6 Gbps SSL inspection throughput, ensuring secure handling of encrypted traffic without performance degradation.
One of the standout features of the FortiGate 91G Firewall is its advanced 10GE-capable WAN connectivity. It includes 2× shared media WAN ports supporting 10GE / 5GE / 2.5GE / GE speeds, configurable for RJ45 copper or SFP+/SFP fiber connections. This flexibility enables high-speed WAN deployments tailored to enterprise requirements. Additionally, 8× GE RJ45 internal switch ports provide reliable LAN connectivity.
Powered by the purpose-built SP5 ASIC, the FortiGate 91G delivers exceptional performance and energy efficiency. It includes an integrated 120GB SSD for logging and storage, along with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to secure cryptographic keys and harden the appliance.
